We went on a cruise that you really wouldn't think of to cruise to. It started in New York with stops in Newport, Rhode Island; Boston, Massachusetts; Bar Harbor, Maine; Halifax, Nova Scotia and Saint John, Canada. It was lots of fun to go with some of our "Empty Nester" friends.
The statue of Liberty was HUGE!
Ellis Island, where back in the day, all immigrants had to register here before entering the U.S.
Brad thinks he's funny, pretending to get arrested in Newport, R.I.
Trinity church in Newport, Rhode Island.

With individual family worship cubicles.

Jewish people and church.
We walked the Freedom Trail in Boston, Massachusetts. This place is full of great history.
This is the Old State House and site of the Boston Massacre. In this building John Adams, John Hancock, Samuel Adams and others debated the future of American self-government and set in motion the American Revolution.
Cemetery wherein Paul Revere, John Hancock, Samuels Adams, Mother Goose and other lie.
Bar Harbor, Maine was great for shopping and yummy fresh Lobster rolls.

Notice anything different about this McDonald's??? It has the Canadian leaf in the middle of the "M". Halifax, Canada.
Nova Scotia has a wonderful old world charm.
Lobster traps.
An artist's house, which depicts Peggy's Cove, a few miles down the road.
Brad at Peggy's Cove Lighthouse.
This is "Reversing Falls" in Saint John, Canada. As the tide in the harbor rises, the downward flow in the St. John River slows and stops. The Bay's tides continue to high tide causing the river to create rapids upstream. This reverse in the water flow happens twice every 24 hours.
