Brisbane City Tour
Wednesday Tyler took us around the city of Brisbane. It was beautiful! We saw several bridges and rode on the City Cat (a boat). It is a means of public transportation that goes up and down the Brisbane river. It was a great way to see several bridges, buildings, University of Queensland, South Bank and other sights in the city. We got off the City Cat and walked down Queens Street. That is a very long street lined with lots of shops of all kinds. I purchased an "I love Brisbane" t-shirt. We saw the Brisbane temple. It is a smaller temple but sits up on the hill, in full view of most of the city. It is located across the street from the river. We then went to the park to meet a member, Sister O'Brien (and her 5 kids) who was so kind to feed Tyler every Saturday and she also gave them heaps of groceries each week. She is so kind to the missionaries. We also met an investigator family that Tyler knew. The mom is Donna and the dad is Jason. They have 4 kids and recently got married and have a baptism date set for June 18th. We barbecued some top sirloin in the park and had fruit, salad, chips and cookies. It was good to see Tyler who played so well with all of the kids.
