Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Today is my mom's birthday! I am going to wish her a happy birthday, eventhough she will probably never see this post because she says that "There is no way I could ever learn how to work a computer, let alone go into the internet". If you ask her how old she is, she will tell you that she is "39 and holding". When I got to be older than 39 she said she had better skip to "49 and holding". My mom has been a constant in my life. She has always been there for me through all of the good times and the difficult times. I know that her love for me and for her entire family is unconditional. There is nothing she wouldn't do for us. If you ask her to alter a piece of clothing, she gets right on it and it is usually done within the hour, eventhough I would tell her that there was no rush. She always has several varieties of homemade cookies in her freezer when the children, grandchildren or great grandkids come over. She has a big closet full of toys that the kids enjoy playing with when they come over. She still has all of the Barbie dolls and clothes that I played with when I was a kid. She says that she "can't remember anything anymore" but she has a keen memory of spoonerisms (sp?), poems and other very funny readings that she memorized many years ago. We all love listening to them, over and over again. I am so lucky to have the best mom in the whole world. I love you mom!!! Thanks for so many years of happiness and joy.
